Brotherhood and Development.

Our mission is to create an uncommon and lifelong brotherhood that develops leaders and encourages service to others for the betterment of our communities. Thus, we value the personal and social development of every man in our fraternity and ensure that he is brought into a welcoming brotherhood and strives to be there for each other, hold each other accountable, and ensure that everyone is becoming the best man that they can be.

The Epsilon Phi chapter of Pi Kappa Phi at the University of Alabama at Birmingham has a rich history on campus on acheiving that goal. This is measured in a lot of ways - our GPA is consistenly the highest, if not the highest, of all fraternities on campus. We strive to become excellent leaders on campus by leading over 50 different campus organizations, and in the community by becoming succesful business leaders and entrepreneurs. Our brotherhood also has a lot of premed students who help each other study and prepare themselves for medical school. But overall, the biggest measure of our success is the lasting brotherhood we have created on campus: since 1985, Pi Kappa Phi continues to foster an uncommon brotherhood amongst its members at UAB.

This brotherhood has stood the test of time.

Campus and Community Involvement.

Pi Kappa Phi is the most involved fraternity at UAB, earning multiple university and national awards for our impact on our campus and the greater global community. We pride ourselves in our contributions and leadership on our university and ensure that all members of the fraternity are doing their best to better the world around them.

The members of our chapter lead over 50 different organizations on campus, which is the most of any campus. Many of them hold prestigious and respected positions at UAB as well, including having multiple Mr. UABs, Trailblazers, National Alumni Society Representatives, Student Government Senators, Early Medical School Acceptance Program Students, UAB Ambassadors, amongst countless other roles on campus. It is for this reason that Pi Kappa Phi is continously recognized by Fraternity and Sorority Life at UAB as one of the most involved chapters on campus and the community. As a member of Pi Kappa Phi, you will have the opportunity to join this legacy of excellence on campus and make an impact.

Service and Philanthropy.

Pi Kappa Phi is the only fraternity in the nation to own and run its own philanthropy, The Ability Experience, which helps people with disabilities have the same shared social experiences as the rest of us. As a result, we take immense pride in our philanthropy and Pi Kappa Phi, on a national basis, is more connected and engaged with its philanthropic efforts than any other fraternity.

The Epsilon Phi chapter has a proven record with The Ability Experience. Not only do we consistently raise tens of thousands of dollars annually, we also directly impact the disability community. Whether it is biking across the country and meeting with disability communities along the way, building accessible communities for people with disabilities, leading Best Buddies efforts on campus, or simply going in for a "Friendship Visit" and hanging out with the disability community, our chapter is committed to putting the person before the disability and doing all we can to live that in our daily lives. Apart from serving The Ability Experience, Pi Kappa Phi has community service engagement around the city of Birmingham, including serving Children's Hospital, cleaning up around the city, or helping prepare warm meals for the less fortunate at Blazer Kitchen.

Our New Member process will develop you into a successful college student and the connections you will gain through Pi Kappa Phi will set you up to be the best version of yourself.

The Epsilon Phi chapter has a proven record of academic success. With our members in prestigious programs such as the Early Medical School Acceptance Program, various Honors College Programs, and multiple academic honors societies, Pi Kappa Phi will lift you into becoming an excellent scholar. Our members are actively involved in scientific research, entrepreneurship, and academic competitions as well. Our brothers go on to become doctors, businessmen, entrepreneurs, engineers, lawyers, and more - continuing the legacy of success in Epsilon Phi. We challenge the stereotype that joining a fraternity will lead to a decrease in your GPA - in fact, we would argue the opposite. Our GPA is consisently higher than the All Mens GPA at UAB. Joining a brotherhood of committed students will help you gain the support system you need to succeed in college.

Social Experiences.

Work hard, play hard. That's the mentality of Pi Kappa Phi. Whether that's hanging out with the boys on a weekend at the lake, or cheering on the Blazers after a tailgate, Pi Kappa Phi will make the best memories of your college career.

We believe that the development of a man is not complete through academics and service, but through social experiences as well. That's why you can expect the best parties, tailgates, sorority mixers, and brotherhood events from Pi Kappa Phi. College is the prime time to grow socially, and hanging out with your brothers is one of the best ways to make memories in college.
